Brian Campbell is currently serving as an elected trustee of The Palos Verdes Library District (PVLD) oversees the libraries of the communities of Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates and is mostly financed (over 90%) by local property taxes.

The Palos Verdes Library District is a Special District governed by a Board of Library Trustees which consists of five elected members who must be qualified voters and residents of the District. Trustees serve without pay for four-year staggered terms and may be re-elected. The Board has three officers — President, Vice President and Secretary. The President and Vice President serve as the Executive Committee of the Board.

The PVLD offers a variety of community programs such as the PVLD Adult Services department which helps the public and library community by providing welcoming, responsive, professional customer service throughout the district.

During the current Covid restrictions, library indoor facilities are closed to the public, however library curbside pickups and services remain available at all branches. Also, several popular library services will continue to be available in virtual/online form.

Among these services are the Virtual Film Club, which meets the second Thursday of each month. Also, the PVLD continues to offer free online tutorials in the areas relating to legal forms and consumer reports.

The PVLD Virtual Book Club will continue to meet every First Tuesday of each month. Register once and you may attend book club meetings January – June 2021. Those interested may visit the the Palos Verdes Library District website at PVLD org website
